Established in the academic year of 1995-96, GENESIS is a group of students and research fellows from the Department of Developmental Biology and Genetics (DBG). The organization holds a variety of events each year, such as departmental sports meet, guest lectures by experts, quiz competitions, technical talks on industrial products, road shows, and in-house faculty symposiums. Additionally, Genesis coordinates the annual work and journal club presentations of registered PhD students in the department. General Secretaries are elected through elections at a general body meeting, while three current faculty members serve as President, Vice-President, and Treasurer.
